Spanish SISGA 2025

Cousins cider – silver from the Spanish SISGA 2025 competition

In September, we had the honor of participating in the prestigious international competition SISGA (Salon Internacional de les Sidres de Gala) in Gijón, Spain. This event is one of the most important European gatherings of cider producers from all over the world—and we are extremely happy that we could be a part of it.

Three ciders, three silver medals

We entered three of our ciders into the competition—pure, with grape skins, and with elderflower. Each of them took home a silver medal from the jury.
We are very happy with this result and truly appreciate it. We see it as encouragement for our future work and confirmation that the path we have taken makes sense.

SISGA – not just a competition, but a meeting of people with the same passion

The organizers prepared a program for us that clearly showed why SISGA has such a good reputation worldwide.
We had the opportunity to:

  • taste a wide range of local ciders and Asturian cuisine
  • share experiences with other producers over great food
  • get to know Spanish culture
  • visit several museums that offered us a new perspective on the history of the region and cider itself.

The atmosphere of the whole event was friendly, open, and incredibly inspiring. We brought back not only awards, but mainly new contacts, ideas, and the drive to keep creating.

Thank you
