Cousins Cider: When apples are given space to tell their own story

Cousins Cider is a family project from the foothills of the Krkonoše Mountains, bringing back the honest, natural face of cider. The brand was founded by Kryštof and Kristýna Ryba, who combined their worlds—the culinary passion of a former chef and the analytical precision of a chemist—to create a drink that elegantly breaks the myths about sweet ciders and boldly competes with fine wines.

Their philosophy is absolute purity without added sugar, flavorings, or pasteurization, allowing the natural character of local fruit—mostly from their own orchards or regional growers—to shine. The foundation of every bottle is 100% apple juice, which matures for many months and undergoes secondary fermentation directly in the bottle using the traditional method. The result is a living, unfiltered drink with fine bubbles and a layered flavor that can change slightly with each vintage and variety. The success of this path of uncompromising quality is evidenced by international achievements in 2025, when Cousins Cider took home three silver medals from the prestigious SISGA world competition in Spain.

The 2026 portfolio offers not only classic dry ciders but also bold batches macerated with Müller Thurgau grape skins or elderflower blossoms. Every glass is an invitation into a world of craft honesty, where respect for tradition meets a modern approach to gastronomy. Cousins Cider thus represents the ideal choice for those looking for an authentic taste experience with a clear signature and Czech origin. It is a drink you don’t have to be afraid to place on the table next to a top-tier wine, because you will find the same depth and care in it.
